The 2020 Track and Field season is about to begin! Chandler Gazelles will follow the USATF-AZ outdoor season and begin training February 17th and have a competition schedule from March through May 2020. Congratulations to our athletes who went to Regionals and put up a good fight! The air was thin but they toughed through it and we are so proud of them. We take this years’ first time experiences and will bring them to our second season next year in the Fall. . . Up next, some kids join other sports which we highly advocate to develop other muscles beside the muscles that help us run. It’s great to take the break away from a sport once the season is done in order to get rejuvenated and reenergized for the next season. . . . It’s easy to get too focused on one particular sport living in the Valley, we have such great weather for most part of the year but it’s important to balance your seasons! . . . Track season will begin officially for the Chandler Gazelles in February. Last weekend our team competed at the USATF-AZ Junior Olympic State Championships. Each member competed so well and had great races. Four of our athletes received medals. Three of our athletes will continue on to our regional championships held this weekend in New Mexico and pursue making nationals. #chandlergazelles #usatf #usatfxc #usatfaz #youthsports #xc #running #healthykids #CrossCountryisfun
